Vainika Vidwan Sri M. V. Krishna Murthy has selected fifty seven kirthans of Nadabrahma Saint Sri Thyagarajaswami for the Volume 2 which was released on 3rd July, 2023 with Scholarly Forward of Ganakala Bhushana Dr. R. K. Padmanabha.
Book Cover page was depicted with of Charana portion of first kirthana "Nagumomu" (Raga: Abheri) and Pallavi portion of last kirthana "Aaragimpave palaragimpave" (Raga: Thodi) of this volume alongwith “Vedamatha Sri Gayathri Devi playing Veena”. Gurupampare, Namma Arpane pages were followed by Lipi Sanketha Vivarane and index of Kirthans. Literature referred was listed in the last page.
Vainika Vidwan Sri M. V. Krishna Murthy has given the full Sahithya of Pallavi, Anupallavi and Charanas for all kirthans as composed by Saint Sri Thayagaraja. He has given meaning of each word, complete message, gist of the kirthana and simplest Swaraprasthara. Most of the kirthans were set to Aadi Thala followed by Rupaka Thala and only one in Thrisrarupaka Thala. Sri Thyagarajaswami kirthans are of mainly Navarsa Bhakthi oriented.
First kirthana of this volume is “Nagumomu kanaleni” (Raga: Abheri) mainly filled with Dhainya bhaava as he could not have the Darshan of smiling face of Lord Rama. Similar kirthans included in the volume are: "Nii Dayarada" (Raga: Vasanthabhairavi); "Ie varaku Joochinadi" (Raga: Sankarabharana); "Marugelara O Raghava" (Raga: Jayanthashri); "Ninu vinaa" (Raga: Thodi); Chaala kallaladu" (Raga: Aarabhi); "Anyaayamu seyakura" (Raga: Hindusthani Kapi); "Eemineramu" (Raga: Sankarabharana) and "Manasuloni marmamu" (Raga: Hindhola). "Vidajaladura" (Raga: Janaranjani) kirthana is explaining the dhainya manobhava of composer and oneness with the Lord in all means.
Composer is explaining his relationship with Ishta Devata and their family as Sita is his Mother, Sri Rama is his father, and their family members are his very close relatives "Sitamma mayamma" (Raga: Vasantha). "Brochevarevare" (Raga: Sriranjani) kirthana is explaining that Lord Rama is Parabrahma a Protector and surrender to his Lotus feet. Kirthans of Nadopaasana composed by Saint Sri Thyagarajaswami explain greatness of this method of practice. Author has included some of the kirthans in this volume. Pranavanada Omkara is equal to Ramanama and the joy of Nadopaasana can only be experienced ("Intha soukhyamani" Raga: Hindusthanikapi). Similar feeling was experessed in "Eelavathara metthu" (Raga: Mukhari) and feel blessed to compose garland of hundred ragas. In "Nadathanumanisham" (Raga: Chittharanjani) composer expalins how Sapthaswaras originated and five Vikruthi Swaras Ri, Ga, Ma, Dha & Ni originated from five faces of Lord Siva and two Prakruthi Swaras Sa & Pa were originated from Prakruthi Mathe Sri Parvathi. This was supported by Upnishads and Vedas (Samaveda). Author selected Sri Thyagarajaswami's two kirthans composed in Sanskrit language: "Janakiramana"(Raga: Shuddhasimanthini) and "Raghupathe Rama" (Raga: Shahana) in this volume. Also included kirthans composed on Kshethradi Diety "Bale balendhu bhushini" (Raga: Rithigoula) of Panchanadi kshethra, Thrivaiyaru; Kanchi Varadarajaswami {Vinathasutha (Raga: Raga: Harikambhoji)} of Kanchipuram. Kirthans composed after Darshan of Lord Rama: "Sithpathe" (Raga: Kamach) and "Entha bhagyamu" (Raga: Saranga) are also selected for this volume. Kirthana "Giripai" (Raga: Shahana) included in this volume explains that Saint Sri Thyagarajaswami had last darshan and conversation with Lord Rama before he attained salvation.
Author concluded this volume with the kirthana "Aaragimpave palaargimpave" (Raga: Thodi) which explain the Upacharas offered regulaly by Sri Thyagarajaswami. Especially different Naivedyas offered with sincere devotion and samarpana bhaava through Mathe Sita to Lord Rama and his family are considered to be most auspicious filled with divinity.
